I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! Crazily, it’s now time to think ahead to Christmas, and more specifically Christmas cards. The deadline to order your Christmas cards is December 5th. We will design and finalize them in the week or so after that, and get them to you in time to send them out for Christmas! Custom Christmas cards are hot hot hot at GDP, and you should totally get some! :)

And because every post is more fun with a photo, here’s one I took while we were camping over Thanksgiving out in the country.

Many of you know, I recently moved my business back to my home after working at a downtown location for the past few years. I’m loving being back at home, and being able to spend more time with my family! We decided to make a really awesome space for me to work in, meet clients in, and even take indoor photos in. We were lucky enough to already have a separate building in our backyard that my husband had used as a shop since we moved here in 2008. I’m also lucky enough to have an amazing father-in-law, Ed, who knows how to make pretty much anything I could dream up.

We started with an unfinished space with concrete floors and nasty windows, and Ed was able to see my vision and transform it into the awesomeness that it is today! I’m so excited to finally share some photos with you of our finished studio! You have to make an appointment to come by and see it in person. I also hope to have an open house in the spring, so stay tuned!

Have you thought about sending out Christmas cards yet?

Well, you should!

And you should let me design them for you! We’ve got plenty of paper, size, and folding options, so gimme a call or shoot me an email to discuss what you want for your custom Christmas card.

Happy Holidays…be sure to plan ahead! :)

Abbey & Josh {Married}

Weddings, Posted on: Sep, 21

Abbey and Josh were married this past Saturday at the Century Plaza Building in downtown Wichita. The couple has the sweetest little 7 week old daughter who slept away the day in her cute white dress. The love between Josh and Abbey was so evident in the way they spoke to each other and how happy they were throughout the day. They were just so ready to be married! A big shout out to the matron-of-honor Kelsi for doing such an amazing job on the planning and details…you throw a great wedding!

Erin & Frankie {Married}

Weddings, Posted on: Sep, 13

I seriously have the most amazing clients. And I love it when they become friends, like Erin and Frankie have! Their wedding this weekend was filled with laughter, tears, goofiness, friends, family, and above all, love. Oh, and rain. Can’t forget the rain. After our drought this summer, of course it rains on Erin and Frankie’s outdoor wedding day! But they took it all in stride and Erin didn’t care about her dress getting dirty…she only cared about her new husband, their adorable kids, and the family and friends who gathered to see them married. I have to admit that I fell in LOVE with the couples’ daughter. Oh my gosh. I am arranging a marriage between her and my son. It’s happening. :) In amidst the rain, we got some amazing photos, and the ceremony went off without a hitch! Here are some highlights.

It has been so wonderful to work with Christina and Michael over the past few months, designing their invitations, taking their engagements, meeting their beautiful little boy Ashton. And it all culminated on Saturday into their beautiful wedding at Exploration Place. We started the day with the girls at the Broadview Hotel, and then the girls took a trolley to the wedding venue. Christina and Michael were married on a boardwalk in the middle of close family and friends. Lindsey and I loved your wedding, thanks so much for choosing us to photograph it! Congrats!
