Sara & Matt {Engaged, Part II}

Sara and Matt met me earlier this week for a quick sunset session at Botanica to finish up the second half of their engagement session. We had amazing light, and I LOVE how these turned out! Definitely helped that these two are super fun and crazy. During our shoot, Matt even puffed out his chest to show the other ducks who was the alpha male, lol. Wow. 
Big thanks to the happy couple for being flexible with my ridiculous schedule! Can’t wait for your wedding this October. Here are my faves.
Kayla + Matt {Engaged, Part II}

I met up with Kayla and Matt for the second half of their engagement session. We shot their first half last November on literally the last day that we had pretty autumn leaves. These two are so effortlessly gorgeous and in love…can’t wait for their wedding coming up SOON the first weekend in June (best weekend to get married, by the way…at least that’s when my wedding was!) Brittany + Josh {Engaged}

I met Brittany and Josh last week for a mini-engagement session. Brittany is also a photographer and has started a photo business of her own. It’s always an honor to have fellow photographers choose me to take their photos. This couple was so great to work with! At the end of our session, they brought out their two pups for a few photos…LOVE. Dogs just melt me. Here are the faves!
Lauren + Gunner {Engaged}

Most beautiful couple award goes to….Lauren and Gunner. I seriously could not take a bad photo of them (not that I was trying). Lauren and I went to high school together, so it was fun to hear from her once she got engaged to Gunner. I met up with them and Lauren’s adorable little daughter Pearl for their engagement session earlier this week, and it was great to catch up and compare parenting notes. We had a perfect night for our shoot, and came away with some amazing photos. I had a blast with you two, and can’t wait for the wedding in October!
Meghan + Kyle {Engaged}

Hands down, I have the greatest clients around. I don’t know how I get so lucky! Meghan and Kyle booked me last fall for their upcoming wedding, but we hadn’t actually met in person until last week when I photographed their engagement session. We had such a great time! They decided to do their entire session in a naturey location, so we had tons of fun walking all over creation and stumbling on new spots for photos. We even got lost (!) and had to break out the smartphones to track our location and find our way back. Thank goodness for technology. Super excited for these high school sweethearts to tie the knot this summer, it’s sure to be a fun and rowdy wedding!
Tara & Tim {Engaged}

Tara and Tim met up with me for the second half of their engagement session last week. It was fun spending the evening with them and getting to know their personalities better since Tim had been sick during the first half of our session. They’re the lucky couple getting married on one of the most popular wedding dates this year – 9.29.12. Can’t wait for the big day!
Tatum & Clayton {Engaged}

Last week, I met Tatum and Clayton downtown for a few of their engagement photos before heading out to their farm, which is where all the fun happened. We did a little off-roading, trekked through some swampy fields in cute shoes, and oogled over their cute puppydog Brittney and one of their two ducks (yes, ducks) Rascal. It was quite the adventure! I need to move to a farm like this so I could see these beautiful sunsets all the time.
Melissa + Ben {Engaged}

Melissa and I go back a few years. We met in our church’s college group back when we were both in, well, college. She’s since moved away and is doing great work impacting lives as a youth pastor in another Kansas town. It was fun to catch up and to meet her sweet fiance Ben as we plan their wedding photography. Our shoot was earlier this week, the first day that the temps were flirting with 80 degrees, and it was perfect. A little warm, but we didn’t mind. Thanks for a laid back evening, Melissa and Ben. Lelah & Ryan {Engaged}

We sure lucked out with the weather on Wednesday…70 degrees in February?! Love it. And luckily, I was able to enjoy the nice weather while shooting an engagement session with this beautiful and fun couple. Lelah and Ryan were super laid back and easy to work with. They kept saying that they’d never done anything like this before, but they could’ve fooled me! The camera loved them. Can’t wait for the second half of our engagement shoot in May. Onto the faves…
